The recently released Akshay Kumar - Sonakshi Sinha starrer Holiday opened well at the box-office. Now running in its second week, the film has been doing brisk business. In this Box Office report, we compare the collections of Holiday to other films that released this year.
Interestingly, the A.R. Murugadoss directed film that is a remake of the Tamil film Thuppakki, has emerged as the third Highest Grosser collecting Rs. 88.05 crores. Preceded by two previous releases, 2 States that collected Rs. 102.13 crores and Jai Ho that collected Rs. 116 crores, the film still continues to do business despite new releases. What remains to be seen is whether Holiday manages to surpass the collections of the other two films.
