'Total Siyapaa': Watch Punjabi Kudi Yami falls for Muslim boy Ali Zafar

Theatrical trailer of ‘Total Siyapaa’ is released and by looking at the trailer what comes instantly is that audience is sure to be engulfed by complete madness as the whole bunch of talented actors reveal their comic best.

The movie stars Yami Gautam and rockstar Ali Zafar as a couple struck by cupid’s arrow. They play the role of Asha and Aman respectively. While Yami is a Punjabi from India, Ali is a Muslim from Pakistan. Earlier the movie was titled ‘Aman Ki Asha’ but after experiencing a set of controversies, the title was safely changed to ‘Total Siyapaa’. Apart from these two lead actors, real life couple Anupam Kher and Kirron Kher plays prominent roles.

Ali and Yami fall for each other. As Yami gets Ali to meet her Punjabi family, it is revealed that Ali is a Pakistani. What follows is a series of hilarious episodes as Kirron is a traditional Indian mother and voices her feelings against a Pakistani. Anupam Kher’s acting makes you go hysterical. Ali tries his level best to convince Yami’s family.

The trailer looks quite promising. The movie aptly captures the Indian and Pakistani mindset. A few hilarious lines give an idea. Disgusted by her mom for not treating Ali properly, Yamini says, “Meri family kisi se milne ke layak hi nahi hai.” To this her mom Kirron Kher says, “Nahi beta hum nalayak nahi hai, woh Pakistani hai.” Also, Ali confesses when in an argument he says, “Shahid Afridi se toh hum bhi pareshan hai.” Hearing these you feel a sense of contentment.

At the trailer launch, Ali Zafar said that his movie will be enjoyed equally by Indians and Pakistanis. He said, “Whenever we talk about India and Pakistan, people get very sensitive, but this film has balanced it in a very light way. Every person in Pakistan will enjoy the film as much as people in India. The film will bring people closer.”

He also believes that his fans will take the movie in the right spirit. He said, “My real fans will perceive it in a right way and everyone will come and watch the film.”

‘Total Siyapaa’ is written and produced by Neeraj Pandey and is directed by Eeshwar Niwas. The movie is produced under Reliance Big Entertainment. The movie will release on 31st January, 2014. The movie is produced with a budget of Rs. 8 crores.
