'Ram Leela' going strong, box office collections hit Rs 52 cr
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Ram Leela' which had a stupendous opening weekend with box office collections of Rs 33 crore, has fared exceptionally well thereafter too.
Despite some cinemas not showing 'Ram Leela' and protests at few places against the film for hurting Hindus' religious sentiments, it has collected above Rs 50 crore.
'Ram Leela' faced a few protests with certain groups claimed that the title and content of the film is insensitive to religious Hindu sentiments. As a result of which, some cinemas were forced to shut down and certain shows were suspended.
Film critic Taran Adarash gave the official figures for 'Ram Leela': Rs 52.50 cr to 52.75 cr net in its opening weekend. Breakup: Fri 16 cr, Sat 17.25 cr, Sun 19.25 cr to 19.50 cr

It's opening day collection has earned 'Ram Leela' 5th place in the list of top openers of 2013 and 10th place in the list of Bollywood's top 25 openers."
'Ram Leela' also managed to match pace with the frenzy around Sachin Tendulkar's finale match that took place in Mumbai.
But Ranveer and Deepika are surely celebrating their success with 'Ram Leela'.
The rumoured couple is being showered with praise for their performances both by critics and fans along with co-stars Supriya Pathak and Richa Chadda.
The comparisons between Shah Rukh Khan's 'Chennai Express', Hrithik Roshan's 'Krrish 3' and 'Ram Leela' have already tilted the scales in favour of the latter.
