Sources say Imran Khan will be playing a 'gifted' Gujarati in Vikramaditya Motwane's upcoming film
He may have begun his career as the sweet boy next door, but looks like Imran Khan is getting ready to be transported to the elite club of Bollywood actors to have played superheroes. Insiders say the actor could be playing the man with the magical cape in Vikramaditya Motwane's upcoming film.
Those close to the project say Imran will be essaying the character of a Gujarati plain John with superhero powers up his sleeve. A source says, `Imran is quite kicked about the project. He has been trying to shed his chocolate hero image.
Even with his upcoming gangster film, critics are waiting to see if the actor has managed to turn the scale with his looks.` We also heard that Imran's Gujju guy portrayal will somewhat be on the lines of Batman a superhero without the cliches that come with the role.

In the meanwhile, the actor found himself in a rather sticky situation when he was said to be mobbed at a Dongri dargah. Imran had walked to the venue to promote his upcoming film there when onlookers almost mobbed him.
Incidentally, someone in the crowd had the audacity to slap him on his back. So furious was the actor that he demanded to be escorted safely out of the venue in a car post the event.
