The Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Aashiqui 2 garners decent numbers at the box office
Aashiqui 2 may not have got off to a flying start but received a decent response despite facing stiff competition from the ongoing cricket season and the Robert Downey Jr starrer Iron Man 3. The film earned about 5.75 crores at the domestic box office.
Aashiqui 2 has been released in 1100 screens and trade gurus are shocked that the film got a mediocre opening as the film doesn’t exactly have big Bollywood stars to boast about. After observing the trend, trade experts predict the first weekend collection will easily touch Rs 15 crores.
Aashiqui 2 and Iron Man 3 may be different genres altogether, but the multiplex crowd are queuing up to watch the Downey flick first. The love story received a good response in the North India circuit we hear. The opening collection was pretty good in Delhi, Jaipur and Indore.
